PCI COMPLIANCE IS NOT A 'NICE-TO-HAVE"

It’s a merchant requirement

PCI compliance is vital in today’s payment landscape and is mandated by major card brands. Non-compliance can lead to financial losses, penalties, and damage to reputation.

Avoid financial loss and penalties

According to a report from IBM and the Ponemon Institute, the average cost of a data breach for companies is $4.88 million USD. In addition to the direct loss of capital, there are also hefty noncompliance fees to be paid, some of which can reach $500,000. Ultimately, the costs associated with achieving PCI compliance pale in comparison to the potential financial repercussions of a data breach.

Safeguard your reputation

Businesses that experience a data breach and aren’t prepared, put their customers in a vulnerable position by exposing sensitive information. This could cause reputational deterioration. Complying with PCI requirements demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a vigilant defense.

Maintain business continuity

A breach can disrupt business operations and lead to significant downtime. In the event of a breach, a company is also required to contact every customer with compromised information, adding to the administrative burden and expense. Maintaining compliance supports the continuity of uninterrupted operations.

Can I get compliant with another solution?

Merchants who are already PCI compliant or want to get PCI compliant with another 3rd party provider, can do so by simply uploading their certificate in the portal. After verification, if they are PCI compliant, no fees will be charged.

Will there be card flow disruptions if I use another compliance solution

If you choose to use an alternative compliance solution, you may experience card flow disruptions if there are significant delays from your chosen provider. In this instance, you may not be able to process transactions until you are validated as compliant.

Choosing SaferPayments by Payrix means a smoother transition and no risk of card flow disruptions.

I already have my AoC (Attestation of Compliance), where can I upload it to stay compliant?

If you already have your AoC completed, you can upload it to the SaferPayments Portal once you have received your enrolment credentials.
